Alstroemeria Colorita 'Louise' is a stunning herbaceous plant, also known as the Peruvian Lily. It is a compact variety, perfect for garden containers and borders, growing to a height of 2-3 feet at maturity. This plant produces masses of large, vibrant pink flowers with lime-green centers and distinctive dark spots on the petals from late summer through autumn until the first frost. It prefers morning sun and shade during the hottest part of the day, and requires well-drained soil that is kept consistently moist. While somewhat hardy, it may need winter protection in colder climates. To encourage continuous blooming, deadhead spent flowers by pulling the stems. Alstroemeria Louise is also a great cut flower, adding beauty to indoor arrangements.
