A zingy orange burst of colour emerges on these Azalea japonica shrubs. Evergreen in nature, these shrubs are a perfect solution for those looking to introduce some interest and colour to tired borders, patios, or balconies. Impressive, bright orange leaves emerge and coat green stems at the tail end of spring and the start of summer, around April and May. While the colour is impressive, it only stands out more as it contrasts excellently against dark green leaves, which remain in place regardless of the month. Japanese Azaleas, such as these, have developed an excellent reputation, and look impressive whether potted up and placed on the patio, or used for ground cover in borders. As dwarf varieties, these plants grow up to a uniform and easy-to-manage 100cm in a decade. Supplied as three established plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting. Outstanding red-orange flowers grow in abundance on this impressive Azalea shrub. As an evergreen the dark green foliage remains in place throughout the year. Very easy to grow and maintain. Azaleas need an acidic soil with a pH of around 5.5 in order to thrive – soils with pH higher than 5.5 should be acidified before planting or you can grow these plants in a container with ericaceous compost. Supplied as 3 established plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting. Grows to H:100cm, W:100cm. Please note: This product cannot be delivered to Northern Ireland.
