A variety of one of the most popular herbs in the world, Rosmarinus ‘Roseus’ is a compact, upright evergreen shrub with dense masses of leathery, needle-like dark green leaves which give off a lovely aroma when crushed, which is why this species of herbs is commonly used for cooking. Loose trusses of small, pale pink flowers appear from late Spring and last through most of the Summer to provide some nice bright Summer colour. A great choice for pot or patio planting, or in mixed shrub borders. Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers sandy soils but tolerant of most soil types. Avoid waterlogged areas and if frost is common then some protection and a sheltered position are advised.
