The Moxa ICF-1180I-S-ST is a high-performance network media converter designed for industrial applications. It features redundant fiber rings with zero recovery time, allowing for seamless network operation even in the event of a fiber break. This converter enables examination of network-wide fiber communication from a single device. It boasts auto baudrate detection and supports data speeds up to 12 Mbps. The PROFIBUS Bus Fail feature prevents corrupted datagrams in functioning segments, ensuring data integrity. For added safety, it includes 2 kV galvanic isolation protection and an alarm by relay output. The dual-power inputs provide redundancy for continuous operation. This device extends PROFIBUS transmission distance up to 45 km and is available in a wide temperature range model for -40 to 75°C environments. It also supports Fiber Signal Intensity Diagnosis and has a Fiber inverse feature for enhanced diagnostic capabilities. The Fiber cable test function validates fiber communication, making troubleshooting more efficient.
