Campsis tagliabuana 'Madame Galen' is a vigorous, deciduous climber with an exotic look, easy to grow in the UK. It features mid-green, shiny, pinnate leaves and striking reddish-orange, trumpet-shaped flowers with yellow throats in late summer, borne in clusters on twining, woody stems. Attractive seed pods follow the flowers in late autumn. This climber can reach an ultimate height of 8-12m and an ultimate spread of 2.5-4m, making it ideal for covering unsightly areas. It also attracts bees and butterflies. The plant loses its leaves in winter and can be pruned back in late winter or early spring for new growth. Please note: Live plants are unique and may differ from images; they are supplied in a grower's pot. Depending on the season, some plants may be pruned to encourage growth, and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
