RHS Pollinator. Sow: Apr to Jun. Flowering: Jun to Sep. Sowing Indoors: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds 1 mm deep and lightly cover with a little more compost—light aids germination. Place in the warmth (15–20 °C) and keep moist. Growing On / Planting Out: Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out from early summer onwards. Allow 25 cm between plants. Sowing Outdoors: Seed can be sown outdoors when soil is warm. Sow thinly and lightly cover with a little soil. Keep soil moist until seedlings emerge. Thin to 25 cm apart and transfer thinnings to other parts of your garden. Aftercare: Water regularly, especially during warm, dry spells, and feed using a liquid plant food. Deadhead regularly to prolong the flowering period.
