FAQs

Is this paint permanent?

Yes, MTN 94 is a synthetic resin enamel designed to be permanent and durable on most surfaces once fully cured.

Can I use this on plastic?

It can be used on many plastics, but it is highly recommended to use a plastic-specific primer first to ensure proper adhesion.

Does the low-pressure system work with all caps?

The MTN 94 is compatible with most standard female caps, but the stock nozzle is specifically calibrated for the low-pressure valve.

How long does it take to dry?

It is touch-dry within minutes, but we recommend waiting 24 hours for the paint to fully cure before applying a clear coat or exposing it to heavy handling.

Can I use this indoors?

Only in rooms with excellent ventilation or using a professional respirator, as it is a solvent-based product.

Troubleshooting

The nozzle is clogged and paint isn't coming out

Remove the nozzle and soak it in acetone or replace it with a fresh cap.

Paint is dripping during application

You are holding the can too close or moving too slowly; increase your distance and speed up your stroke.

Color appears dull or transparent

Ensure you are using a white base coat, as fluorescent pigments require a neutral background to reflect light effectively.

Pros and Cons

  • Fast-drying formula minimizes drips
  • High opacity provides excellent coverage
  • Professional matte finish
  • Reliable, consistent performance for fine art

Cons

  • Requires well-ventilated environment due to solvent base
  • Fluorescent colors may require a white primer base for maximum vibrancy

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before use, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or oils. Shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle to ensure the pigments are properly dispersed. Hold the can approximately 15-20cm from the surface, applying the paint in smooth, overlapping horizontal or vertical strokes. Always test your spray pattern on a scrap piece of cardboard before applying to your final project. After use, turn the can upside down and spray for several seconds to clear the nozzle and prevent clogging.
