Installed between the boiler and pump to remove air from the heating system. This air separator helps with noise reduction and is specified by British Gas and British manufactured. It is designed for soldered copper connection only. The separator automatically and progressively eliminates air from the system with no moving parts, reducing pump failure by reducing cavitation. It is simple to install and for open-vented systems only. Plumb into the flow between the boiler and pump, with the vent pipe connecting to the top connection and terminating over the feed and expansion tank. It removes air from system water with the greatest efficiency if the air separator output is within one metre of the pump. The TFC Group air separator continuously removes air from your heating system. If air is present, it will reduce system efficiency, thus accelerating the production of magnetite and causing airlocks. Remember to always treat the heating system water with a suitable inhibitor.
