Sweetcorn Golden Bantam (Zea mais) is a very popular and easy to grow variety that produces masses of sweetcorn. This traditional variety offers excellent corn flavour and tolerance to various conditions. Sow seeds indoors in March-May, 0.5cm deep in moist compost and store in a warm place. Plant out in May/June after hardening off. Alternatively, sow seeds outdoors in May, 0.5cm deep directly into the growing bed. Keep the soil moist and avoid over-watering. Row width should be 12" / 30cm. Harvest from July to October. For best results, feed regularly with a Tomato Feed and ensure plants are kept well-watered during dry spells. Cook the corn immediately after picking for the best taste.
