The d-c-fix Matt Sage Green Furniture Wrap excels in transforming ordinary household items and surfaces into stylish pieces. It's particularly effective for updating tired kitchen cabinets, giving them a fresh, modern look without the need for painting. For furniture, imagine an old chest of drawers or a worn-out tabletop getting a new lease on life with this elegant sage green finish. Crafters will find it ideal for decorating storage boxes, photo frames, or creating custom wall art. The self-adhesive backing makes it accessible for DIY beginners, while its durability means it can withstand daily use in kitchens or on high-touch furniture. Its heat resistance up to 75°C allows it to be used on countertops or tabletops, but users should be mindful of placing extremely hot items directly on the surface.
Setup (Application Steps):
Clean Surface: Ensure the surface is thoroughly clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose particles. For best results, use on smooth, non-porous surfaces.
Measure and Cut: Measure the area you want to cover, adding a small overlap (about 2-3 cm) on all sides for trimming. Cut the film using a sharp utility knife or scissors.
Peel Backing: Carefully peel back about 10-15 cm of the backing paper from one edge.
Position and Apply: Align the exposed adhesive edge with your starting point on the surface. Slowly press the film down, working from the center outwards to push out any air bubbles.
Smooth and Continue: Gradually peel off more of the backing paper with one hand while smoothing the film onto the surface with a soft cloth or squeegee in the other hand. Continue until the entire area is covered.
Trim Excess: Use a sharp utility knife along the edges for a neat finish.
Compatibility:
Suitable Surfaces: Smooth, non-porous surfaces such as laminate, melamine, painted wood, glass, and metal.
Avoid Surfaces: Rough, porous, or heavily textured surfaces (e.g., unfinished wood, brick, stucco) as the adhesive may not adhere properly, and textures may show through. Not recommended for floors or outdoor use.
Care:
Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the film's surface.
Heat: The film is heat resistant up to 75°C (167°F). Avoid placing hot pots, pans, or appliances directly onto the film without protection.
Maintenance: Regularly check edges for lifting and gently press them down to maintain adhesion.
