Viola ‘Waterfall’ Mixed is a stunning trailing pansy with a vigorous, cascading habit, producing large, showy flowers in both solid and bi-coloured forms. It delivers months of vibrant colour and a soft, sugary scent, starting as early as February and lasting for over three months. Hardy and weather-tolerant, it thrives through winter rain and bad weather. Some parts of these flowers are edible, adding a decorative and creative touch to the kitchen. Sow from spring to autumn on the surface of moist, good quality seed compost and lightly firm down. Keep at 15–20°C (59–68°F) in a propagator or sealed bag. Light aids germination, which usually takes 14–21 days. Gradually acclimatise before transplanting into well-drained soil in baskets and containers in full sun or semi-shade, once all risk of frost has passed.
