This seed blend is designed for germination at 7°C soil temperature, making it great for seeding your lawn earlier or later in the year for fast results. Sow in colder conditions during early and late seasons. Maintains colour all season long. Seeds are treated to help deter birds. Size: 80m2. Gro-Sure Fast Acting Lawn Seed is treated to significantly improve germination and for quicker establishment. Features new and improved seed blends, colour-matched to existing lawns with fine grass blades for a beautiful, lush lawn. It will grow on any soil type and provides high disease tolerance. In good conditions, blades of grass can usually be seen in under 3 weeks, but this may take longer in unfavourable conditions. Lawn seed may be sown from March to October, ideally during March to May or September to October. Suitable for existing lawns for over-seeding, bare soil for establishing new lawns, and for repairs. Best conditions for growth are when soil temperature is consistently around 10-18°C. To sow a new lawn, prepare the soil by clearing debris and weeds, digging over and breaking down lumps, treading to firm, and levelling with a rake. Shake the box to mix seeds and sow at a rate of 30g/sq. m in two passes at right angles, then lightly rake into the surface. To thicken an existing lawn, remove weeds, mow closely, and aerate compacted ground. Spread Westland Lawn and Turf Dressing to fill holes and level the surface. Shake the box, sow seeds at 25g/sq. m in two passes at right angles, and lightly rake in. After sowing, lightly firm the ground and water thoroughly with a fine-rose watering can or sprinkler, ensuring not to wash away seeds. Water daily until established, and in hot conditions, water late in the day. Mow for the first time when grass is 5-8cm high, gradually lowering the cutting height to about 2.5cm. After 8 weeks, feeding with Aftercut Ultra Green Plus is recommended.
