Unwins Organic Lemon Balm Seeds produces beautifully textured, lemon-scented leaves. Lemon Balm has a wide range of culinary uses. It can be used dried or fresh; try in salads, stuffing's or for herbal tea. It's also very attractive to bees. Perfect for pots. Sow: Mar to May Harvest: Jun to Sep Sowing Indoors: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 20–25 °C, and keep moist but not too wet. Allow 3 weeks for germination. Growing On: Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant to 8 cm pots, allowing 3 to 4 seedlings per pot. Hardening Off / Planting Out: Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out. Allow 30 cm between plants. If growing in containers, choose a pot at least 20 cm in diameter.
