Handmade designer table lamp made of Japanese paper. The Lampampe table lamp by Ingo Maurer features a classic lamp shape interpreted in a modern way. It is made entirely of Japanese paper stretched onto a metal frame, with deliberately creased paper to create interesting shadow elements. The thin, translucent paper produces indirect, diffuse light. Due to its sensitive nature, the lamp should not be placed in rooms with high humidity. Designed by Ingo Maurer in 1980, this lamp is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, using Japanese paper as an excellent filter and reflector of light. The crumpled paper adds a playful dimension, offering warm, soft light that seems to breathe.
