The Red Bottle Brush, also known as Carmine Top Hat Brush, features striking, brush-like, and cylindrical inflorescences with long threads that continuously regrow from late spring to autumn. It can be heavily pruned to achieve the desired plant height. The alternate, leathery leaves have a slightly aromatic citrus scent when ground. The natural habitat of this bush is in the southeastern states of Australia. The seeds can be propagated indoors throughout the year. Place the seeds on moist potting compost and cover the seed container with clear film to prevent drying out. The plant prefers a sunny location near a south-facing window. During growth and flowering, provide plenty of lime-poor water, and avoid waterlogging. During winter, place the plant in a bright and cool place with temperatures between 5° and 10° Celsius.
