Myriophyllum rubricaule, commonly known as Red-stemmed Parrot’s Feather, is a hardy perennial aquatic plant that oxygenates pond water while providing essential habitat for aquatic life. Its bright green feathery foliage and red stems form attractive mats above and below the water surface, enhancing both pond aesthetics and ecological balance. Non-invasive and easy to maintain, this oxygenating plant is perfect for small ponds or water features. From June to August, it may produce delicate yellow flowers at the leaf axils above the water, adding seasonal interest. Ideal for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance, functional, and visually appealing pond plant. How to Grow Instructions Plant submerged in deep water up to 100cm below the surface. Position in full sun or partial shade for best growth. Can be cast into water as a weighted bunch but benefits from planting in soil. Cut back excessive growth as necessary once established.
