Iris Dwarf Harmony features single blooms with pale blue, feather-like central crests and royal blue sepals, accented by a golden yellow stripe and white flecking. Its slender, mid-green leaves are fragrant and hardy, producing gorgeous blue blooms that herald the arrival of spring. These irises are ideal for planting at the front of beds or borders, as well as in pots, containers, or window boxes. They can also be used as cut flowers for bouquets and arrangements. Dwarf Irises, like Iris Dwarf Harmony, begin flowering in February and March, while Dutch Irises bloom in early summer around June. Irises are prized ornamental plants known for their diverse colors and distinct bloom structures. Dwarf Irises tend to naturalize and form clumps, whereas Dutch Irises are often used as cut flowers and have more grass-like foliage. Both Dwarf and Dutch Irises grow from bulbs and prefer fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Planting depth is typically around 10cm, with a preference for neutral soils. Allowing the foliage to die back naturally after blooming is crucial for the bulb's energy storage, ensuring future blooms.
