Full details

Korda Sinking Rig Tube not only stops the hook link from wrapping around the mainline on the cast preventing a tangle, but it also prevents fish from coming into contact with the line during the fight, which is a vital safety aspect. The tubing has a matt finish, making it harder to see underwater and is easy to thread. It comes in three colours, all of which sink without the need for putty. For best results, ensure the tube colour matches the lake bed and consider adding extra putty to pin it down. The 'CAMOUFLAGED WEED' colour suits silted bottoms and areas with minor weed or algae. 'SILT' is ideal for silty waters and gravel pits with sediment build-up. 'GRAVEL' is a light green, excellent for clean gravel bottoms but can stand out on silt or weed. 'CLAY' blends well with clay and sand lake beds. To thread the line, cut the end to a point and straighten it; curly or flattened ends are difficult to thread. The tube is supplied in large packets to maintain coils and is supple enough to straighten easily. Warming it in your hands can help in winter. If reusing, slide it along a tight line to remove debris. You can also use it to pull new line through by tying a knot around the new line and pulling the old tube. For attaching to a rubber, point the tube end. Avoid gluing the join as it makes it brittle.
