Grow it in a sunny border, on a patio, or in a greenhouse. The grape-sized fruits are small and plentiful, tasting of cucumber with a hint of lime – they're delicious! This lush climber will readily scramble over obelisks or other structures, and can be contained to a height of 8 feet or under for maximum fruit production. Sow seeds on the surface of free-draining compost, covering with about 6mm (1/4 in) of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 21-24°C (70–75°F) until germination, then reduce to 18°C (65°F). Germination may take up to 21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Plant out one plant per 25cm (10in) container or two plants per growbag. Can also be planted outdoors in a sunny spot in late May/June once all risk of frost has passed.
