Elevate your garden with the Juniperus Communis 'Green Carpet'! This versatile, evergreen shrub is perfect for adding structure and year-round greenery. Ideal for hedges, ground cover, or standalone accents, it's drought-resistant, low-maintenance, and thrives in a variety of climates and soils. Its dense foliage offers shelter for wildlife, while its blue-black berries are used in culinary arts, especially gin making. Grown in our Specialist Nursery, it forms a lush green carpet with short, dense, plume-like branches of aromatic, steely-blue leaves and ovoid, dark blue cones. This creeping juniper is an excellent ground cover plant for a well-drained shrub or mixed border. Perfect for softening the edges of paths and driveways, the handsome, steely-blue foliage takes on purple tints in winter. Garden care: Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
