An evergreen tomato plant that keeps its foliage fresher for longer, perfect for adding a sweet tomato to your salads and sandwiches. This blight-resistant variety, 'Tomato Divinity', can produce up to 4kg of cherry tomatoes per plant and is ideal for growing in containers on the patio. The seeds are supplied as a packet of 6. To sow, use a free-draining, damp seed-growing mix with a dash of compost or vermiculite. Place the seed tray in a protected location like a propagator or cloche, maintaining a steady temperature of approximately 15-20°C until germination, which typically takes 7-14 days. Once the tomato plant has produced two true leaves, repot into separate 7.5cm pots with compost, keeping them at a temperature of 15°C. When growing outdoors, gradually acclimatise the plants over 7-10 days after all frost has cleared. Water regularly, keep the compost moist, and provide a high potash feed. Tomatoes can be harvested from July to September. Images are for guidance only; results may vary based on growing conditions and seasonality.
