As one of the most important crops, Levant Cotton naturally grows up to 1.50 meters in height, while the bushy pot plants only reach 50 to 70 cm. It has beautiful lobed leaves and in July and August beautiful flowers up to 5 cm in size, which are reminiscent of the hibiscus plant. About 8 weeks later, it bears fruit. From the black, oval capsules that are as large as a pigeon egg, after cracking, the soft and ping pong ball-sized fiber tufts emerge. Pot cotton plants are usually annual, but fast-growing. The seeds can be planted throughout the year.
