Setup
Getting started with your PlayStation Portal Remote Player is straightforward:
- Charge the Device: Ensure your PlayStation Portal is sufficiently charged before first use.
- Power On: Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your PlayStation Portal to your home Wi-Fi network. This must be the same network your PS5 is connected to.
- Pair with PS5: The Portal will automatically detect and attempt to connect to your PS5 console. Ensure your PS5 is powered on or in Rest Mode and that Remote Play is enabled in your PS5 system settings (`Settings` > `System` > `Remote Play` > `Enable Remote Play`).
- Start Gaming: Once connected, your PS5 dashboard will appear on the Portal's screen, and you can begin playing any compatible game installed on your console.
Compatibility
- PS5 Only: The PlayStation Portal Remote Player is exclusively compatible with PlayStation 5 consoles. It cannot be used with PS4, PC, or other gaming platforms.
- Compatible Games: It plays any compatible games you have installed on your PS5 console that support Remote Play. This includes most PS5 and PS4 games playable on your PS5.
Care
- Screen Protection: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the 8-inch screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the body of the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Keep the Portal away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture.
- Safe Storage: When not in use, store the device in a safe place to prevent accidental drops or damage.
- Battery Maintenance: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently and consider storing it with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.
