The fabulous scent, along with the dainty clusters of lilac flowers, makes this hardy shrub a real ‘must-have’ plant for any garden. A second lighter flush of blooms may appear in August to September. This deciduous Syringa is compact and slow-growing, which helps keep the form of the head on this pretty lilac tree. It is extremely versatile and perfectly suited as a focal point in a border, patio container or pot with a wide variety of garden planting situations. Positioned by the side of a doorway creates a stylish and scented entrance, or try it as an elegant feature plant on your patio or balcony. Plant in rich fertile, well-drained, neutral or alkaline soil. Or grow in a large container or pot using a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Prune in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems. Position: Full sun Supplied as a grafted standard tree in a 2 Litre Nursery Pot.
