The 990’s original designers were tasked with creating the single best running shoe on the market. The finished product more than lived up to its billing. When it hit shelves for the first time in 1982 the 990 sported an elegantly understated grey colorway, and a then unheard of three-figure price tag. For avid runners and ahead of the curve tastemakers alike, the 990 was a mark of quality and superior taste. There have been updates to the design since ’82, and more color options, but the 990’s aspirational status symbol aura has never changed. Simply put, the 990 is the shoe so good, that we’ve never stopped making it. The MADE in USA 990v4, originally introduced in 2016, continued to refine the v3's modernization of the silhouette. This new addition to the Seasonal Collection features a premium suede and mesh upper in white and limestone. New Balance MADE U. S. footwear contains a domestic value of 70% or more. MADE makes up a limited portion of New Balance’s US sales. The New Balance 990v4 MiUSA Limestone is a running shoe that’s part of the brand’s "Made in the USA" line. The MiUSA Cream New Balance 990v4 features an upper made of Limestone-beige mesh for breathability. Limestone suede overlays cross the upper, forming the toe box and supporting the side panels, some of which are outlined in white. The New Balance "N" on each side is gray and white, and the tongue features 990v4 MiUSA branding. The heel is made of a slightly darker tan color with 990v4 branding on the outer side. Further NB and MiUSA branding is found at the top of the heel. The shoe has a Limestone and white midsole complete with ENCAP cushioning. Our favorite thing about this shoe is the color scheme, which is neutral yet elegant. The New Balance 990v4 MiUSA Limestone was released on July 27, 2023, for $210.
