A handsome foliage house plant, the Syngonium is an unusual but easy-to-grow house plant whose foliage changes shape as it matures. Initially, the leaves resemble arrows, but in time, new leaves develop three to five segment-like fingers. The coloring is striking, featuring a blend of green and cream. As the plant matures, it also forms lax stems that can climb if given support. This plant is ideal for bright, indirect light and requires good potting compost. It grows at an average rate and is tender, suitable for indoor environments only. The current height is approximately 25cm, plus or minus 10%, including the pot. For optimal fit, a 14cm pot cover is recommended. The pot shown in photographs is not supplied; the plant is shipped in a simple nursery pot. It makes an excellent potted plant, and a wide range of pots are available separately. Garden care involves keeping the plant well-watered during the growing season with good drainage and applying a balanced liquid fertilizer as per manufacturer instructions. Water less frequently in winter and maintain a temperature above 15°C. To maintain humidity, avoid placing it near a central heating radiator and mist regularly.
