Setup and Use:

  1. Ensure both vehicles are switched off and parked close enough for the cables to reach.
  2. Connect one red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.
  3. Connect the other red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the good battery.
  4. Connect one black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the good battery.
  5. Connect the final black clamp to an unpainted metal surface on the engine block or chassis of the vehicle with the dead battery (away from the battery itself).
  6. Start the engine of the good vehicle and let it run for a few minutes.
  7. Attempt to start the engine of the vehicle with the dead battery.
  8. Once started, carefully disconnect the cables in the reverse order: black from the chassis, black from the good battery, red from the good battery, red from the now-running vehicle's battery.
