Unwins Impatiens Beacon Mixed Seeds (Busy Lizzie) deliver a bright mix of summer color to dramatize your garden displays. It's downy mildew resistant, which has made other varieties harder to grow. Perfect for pots and containers Loved by pollinators Prefers full sun Sow: February to April Flowering: July to October Sowing: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more fine compost or vermiculite. Place in warmth at 20–25 °C and keep moist. Growing On: Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost or into individual 8 cm pots. Hardening Off / Planting Out: Gradually acclimatize plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out once the risk of frost has passed. Allow 20 cm between plants. Aftercare / Advice: Deadhead spent blooms and feed and water regularly to maximise the flowering period.
