92.5 Bends are used in a downpipe system to change the plane of the bend from vertical to horizontal or vice versa. They are often used instead of offset bends when the soffit is particularly wide - this enables the pipe to run neatly below the soffit rather than dropping down diagonally back to the wall as it would with a normal swan neck setup. The angle of the bend is 92.5 degrees rather than 90 degrees to encourage a slight fall, enabling rainwater to run away rather than sit in the pipe.
